I did not board the train, and therefore,
I did not unexpectedly arrive in Seattle
after a long cross-country trip I did not take.
No one waited for me at the station,
and if they did it was a sheer coincidence.
I did not tell anyone to meet me, or not.
Having not left Cleveland,there was
no way I would arrive in Seattle on time.
Sequences lead to consequences.
No departure. No arrival.
It’s as simple as that.
